Our Report System

Scott’s Inspection Company uses The Home Guide Report System™ in conjunction with the Texas State mandated report form. The Home Guide covers over 500 specific items within 8 primary categories. The categories covered include Structure, Exterior, Roof, Plumbing, Electrical, Heating &M Cooling, Appliances and Interior.

Scott believes that this reporting system has brought to Texas, San Antonio and surrounding areas the most comprehensive reporting system in use. The Home Guide Inspection System™ has proven to be successful for thousands of homebuyers throughout the country.

This system was developed by a group of seasoned Home Inspection professionals and covers in detail over 500 elements often found in residential construction. Real Estate professionals find that The Home Guide Report Systemz™ is beneficial to assist homebuyers in understanding the items that are coverred or commented on in our reports.

About Our Report System

Our report system is divided into the 8 major elements of the property. Each of the 8 sections contains a list of systems that are examined and include potential defects in those systems.

Many of the items noted in the Texas mandated inspection report will be cross-referenced to the chapters in the The Home Guide Report System™. We sincerely believe that the Texas mandated reporting form restricts inspectors from sharing their vast wealth of knowledge with their clients, lacks professional appearance, and promotes short and limited inspection findings.
